| SUGAR TECHNOLOGY DIVISION |
The division carries the
following activities :
- Teaching
sugar technology to the students of various courses
- Rendering
technical advice to sugar and allied fields
- Applied
research on various problems being faced by the sugar industry.
The
sugar technology division is equipped with latest sophisticated
instruments like UV-Vis spectrophotometer, Sucrolyser system, IR
Moisture meter etc. For the benefit of the sugar industry
the following works are also undertaken
- Calibration of pol tubes
- Analysis of sugar, molasess, and other sugar house
products as per ICUMSA prescribed procedures
- Analysis
of various primary & secondary process chemicals for purity and
efficiency.
