Functions of the Sugar Engineering division are as follows:
- Teaching
Sugar Engineering to various post graduate and post diploma courses on Alcohol
Technology, Sugar Technology and Sugar Engineering
- Research in sugar engineering aspects of sugar manufacture.
- To render technical advice to sugar and allied industries in the matters related
to mills, boilers, power house, steam balance, surplus power generation.
